Offshore Fishing in the Gulf of Mexico – Personal Best Cobia

I took a trip down to Navarre Florida and hopped on a with friends Keith Morrison and Mike Lance for a day of fishing “The Ledge.” The Ledge is a popular fishing area 26 miles offshore from Pensacola Florida. The depth at this location is roughly 175 feet. There is reef, structure and live bottom in this area, as well as sudden depth changes. This location is a very productive fishing ground. Highlighting this trip was the 36lb cobia in this video. We also caught snapper, mackerel, bonito, amberjack, almaco and triggerfish. In addition, we were paid several visits by the “Taxman”.
